Login fails after use of "Reset Password" in user manager

Problem

Existing user always gets the message "Invalid login attempt " when trying to login. Changing the password didn't solve the problem.

Solution

We have detected that changing the password using the "Password Reset" feature in the user manager creates a wrong password hash in the user database.

Until this is fixed, password changes must take place from the login windows via the "Change password" link in the bottom of the dialog.

If users have already lost access to their account, a database administrator can modify and run the attached script to clone the password of an existing (with known password) account onto the blocked account.
