This is the start window, showing all specimens registered in Field 545 (in this case more than 50.000 specimens generated for load testing - please ignore the non-standard file numbers):

The number of rows in a page is depending on your screen size, and you use the pager in the bottom to move from page to page.

You can reduce the total number of visible rows by applying one or more filters in the filter row right below the column headers.

Edit specimen status

Specimen status can be edited in two ways, either through the buttons in the command line or by direct editing in the grid.

Button edit

Select one or more rows using the check-box in the first column. The check-box in the header allows you to select all or none on the page.

This will enable the three first buttons:

If you click the "Set Specimen Sent", you will be asked to specify the short name of the laboratory the specimens are sent to:

All selected rows will be updated according to the button used. Today's date is automatically inserted as Status Date and Sent date if relevant.

Direct edit

You may directly edit any of the columns Sent, Laboratory, Status and Status Date within the current grid page.

Any changed value is highlighted with a green background, and the buttons "Save Changes" and "Cancel Changes" are enabled.

Editing works on a page basis, and you must either Save or Cancel changes to proceed to the next page.

Filter the specimen list

Each column has a filter editor right below the column header. Type or select the value to apply as a filter, each editor corresponds to the datatype in the column.

In order to tweak filtering, you may click the link in the bottom of the windows:

which brings up the Filter Builder:

Use the links and buttons in the filter builder to modify the filter beyond the possibilities in the column filter header.

You may Clear all filtering by clicking the "Clear" link in the first column of the filter row.

Printing the (possibly filtered) list of specimens

Click:

to generate a report of the specimens corresponding to the active filter (if any) and their status.

The report is automatically selected for download:

and if you click "Open", the PDF document will be opened and shown in any available PDF reader:
