Once the DVI System case number has been linked to the outside number, then the DVI System case can be retrieved from the database by entering the number from the external system.

In the Case Manager windowthe General->Nominal search

 Image Added, enter the additional case file number and a search will be initiated.

This makes it easy to find a case file even if the number in the DVI System is not readily available.

To display these additional reference numbers click the  button in the Online Case Manager window the

 Image Added button to open the Additional Case Numbers windowAdditional File Numbers window.

Reference number kinds.

 You can add your own Reference number kinds by navigating to Administration→Registers

To add a new Reference number kind, click the

Image Added button.

Enter the relevant data in the columns "System Code", "System Text Code", "Description", and make sure to choose "Filereference numbers" in the column "Term Class".
