The DNA Specimens registered in field 545 are often physically managed by front-office staff, and they may need a tool to get an overview of the state of all specimens across all PM files.

With the DNA Specimen manager, they are able to list all specimens with filters and sorting on file number, container, agency, specimen number, processing laboratory, processing status and dates - as well as maintaining the state of each specimens, whether it is waiting to be sent or has been sent to a specific lab and waiting for the profile, whether a profile is successfully generated or failed so that a new specimen is required to obtain DNA.

You can access the DNA Specimen Manager at the URL http://[servername]/Plass.Id.Web/Dna

This is the start window, showing all specimens registered in Field 545 (in this case more than 50.000 specimens generated for load testing - please ignore the non-standard file numbers):

The number of rows in a page is depending on your screen size, and you use the pager in the bottom to move from page to page.

You can reduce the total number of visible rows by applying one or more filters in the filter row right below the column headers.

Edit specimen status

Specimen status can be edited in two ways, either through the buttons in the command line or by direct editing in the grid.
