Dental matching is being performed when you click in the Dental Match group of the Reconciliation ribbon page.
"Dental matching" is a batch process which is started on the SQL server.
The process compares all dental data in AM and PM or PUI files.
When the matching is finished, the window "Dental Match Result" can be opened by clicking
Under "Score", the files which have the highest number provide the best chance of identification.
Under "RS" it is indicated whether one or several Relationship notes are connected to the match. The actual Relationship note(s) connected to the match are shown as a detail grid.
The icons in top of the window allow various visual comparisons of the selected file(s) to be made.
- Dental File Comparison
Clicking the button opens the Dental File Comparison window:
Note the color indicators of the match level (red, yellow and green).
- Green means the codes and the surfaces are matching.
- Yellow means it's a possible match. A code like "non" will always produce a "possible match".
- Red means no match. If more than one code has been entered in the odontogram on a particular tooth, and if just one of them is does not match (or one of the surfaces doesn't match), then the match status will be "not matching".
2. Odontogram Comparison window
Clicking the button opens the Odontogram Comparison window:
Arrange comparison windows
This is an example of an arrangement of the Dental Match Result, Dental File Comparison and Odontogram:
This setup makes it easy to scroll through the Match results while looking at the corresponding Odontogram and Dental File Comparison.
At first it can be a bit tricky to setup the windows:
Close all windows.
- Open Match Results
- Open Odontograms Comparison
Drag and drop the Odontogram Comparison to the bottom of the screen.
- Open the Dental File Comparison
- Drag and drop the Dental File Comparison to the right of the screen.
